I've been a Treo 650 user for a while and had my shares of headaches. Don't get me wrong, I still loved my 650 and there's always a trade off, there's no such thing as a perfect phone.
If I were you, I'll wait a few months. Palm is coming out with the Treo750 with Windows mobile and Quad band GSM and Tri band UMTS. It is now available in Europe for Vodaphone. If you Google it, you'll see what it looks like. A friend of mine works for Cingular and they're testing the US version right now. So far, I was told that it is a much better unit than the 650.
