Real Music Or Polyphonic Ringtone Support?

Greetings,

Does anyone know if this phone supports 'real music' ringtones, or just polyphonic MIDI ringtones?

And by ringtones, I mean files one can actually assign as a ringtone, not just a file one can play in a media player or other application.

Thank you,

yes, you need two things:
1. sd expansion card-to store the music on them( cannot save mp3 tones on the phone for some reason, only midi or amr files.

2. 3rd party software with mp3 support. one i'm trying is ringo. can assign ringtones to individuals or groups.

you may not want to save the whole song as a mp3 may be too big. can use music match program along with wave editor in windows. download song in music match. then convert to wav. then shrink tone in wave editor in windows then convert back to mp3 in music match. i do about 20 sec max. that more than enough time for a ringtone.

hope this helps.you can find ringo at palmgear.com

I got my 650 last week and added a card and Ringo. It's great! I edit music files on my Powerbook and save them as MP3s to use as ringtones.
