Treo 650 vs. iPod Nano for music playing
I am thinking about getting a iPod Nano for a geriatric patient in a nursing home. This person likes to listen to music, and uses an early model Palm only as an electronic addressbook and calendar. This person is also able to use a desktop computer for simple tasks, such as sending e-mail. However, they are easily frustrated by anything but the simplest task on their computer. This person is also considering getting a Palm Treo 650, which has a music player capability. If they get the 650, would it be as easy to use as the iPod Nano for downloading, selecting and playing music?

I recently purchased the Palm stereo adaptor. I must say this allows me to very easily listen to audible audio books using my TREO through my car stereo. music sounds as good as on my 3G ipod.
I want to use the TREO to avoid carrying too many devices as I also have a BlackBerry 8700c for my work. I also have a 512k Shuffle.
i find the TREO great for all times, including going to the gym albeit it is heavy. But I forward my BB calls to the TREO, leave either ipod home...and i have my all in one dvice with me at all times (I am on call).

If this person is frustrated by anything other than simple tasks on the computer they will probably have a hard time with a treo. I would say get a 2-4 GB nano and very basic phone with big buttons. Set up itunes to sync auto sync checked files with the ipod. Then the user can select which files they want on the ipod a...
