SD Memory card question

Shaggy145J

I'm going to get a 2GB SD memory card for my Treo 650 and one of my friends told me to just get a 1 GB because the 2 GB will process a lot slower and slow my palm down. Any truth to this or am I totally fine to get the 2 GB card?

Complete B.S.! Just get a highspeed card if that really worries you, though. Newegg.com can hook you up with a fast card for cheap. I have a 2gb 133x SD card in my digital camera from them. Cost about $65. Good luck.

So it wont slow my Treo down with a regular, or just the high speed? This is a stupid question I realize, just want to make sure before I buy the card so I don't have to return it or anything.

Sorry for the late reply. You can buy either a regular card OR a high speed. It wont make any difference really. Your treo will run each card just fine. The upside of a high speed card will be realized when your loading your files onto it from your PC. My wife has a regular 1gb card in her treo and it runs music flawlessly. I've put a 2gb card in it to test it and that works fine too. Just buy whatever you want, it wont change anything really. Its just a PDA, not a high resolution digital camera.

I tried a 2gig card and it didn't work. Did i do something wrong or were the Verizon reps correct in the fact that 650's can only hold 1 gig?

Lying Bastards! That's why I don't believe the tech support reps at the store near my job.

You were right: it does take 2 gig cards. Thx for the 411.
