hi all. I just got a treo 650 so I can get email on the road. yesterday I couldn't get email or web though. in rural maryland. here are my questions: 1. would I have any wider email coverage if I were using a bb instead of a treo, or are they both dependant on the eaxct same network? 2. how does verizon's data coverage compare to other carriers? I love me VZW voice coverage, but is data the best? I don't really want to pay to get out of my service contract but i'd like to know how vzw compares. thanks...

I cant tell you specifically about rural Maryland, but Verizons data network is the best there is. Their EVDO network is the largest highspeed data service in the US and it always being expanded.

The Treo 650 and BB will both use the VZ 1xRTT network (neither supports EVDO). How long have you had the Treo? Better things arent too far off....

What things are not far off? I have been looking at the Samsung I730 but it's reviews are worriesom at best.

Typicaly, people prefer sprints data service, coverage is almost identical to verizons, and prices are a whole lot cheaper. and evdo doesnt matter with the 650's or the BB's, as niether of them are capable of taking advantage of that technology. my advice is to try sprint in that area, it may be better.

Untrue.

EVDO will be released for the BB 7250 end of October. And the new 7130e by Jan 06. EVDO will be available on both devices.
