Palm Treo 650 (CDMA)
Treo 650 Denied!
Is it only business to business customers getting the 650? I tried yesterday and they told me I couldn't order it until 5/23...

I called Verizon today to order the Treo 650. The first person I spoke with told me I could not order it until May 23. I told her that I read on this forum that others had already ordered it and had received it. I then spoke with a supervisor who at first told me the same thing. After being on hold for a while, the supervisor came back to the line and told me that they could put my order in right now. He said they just released the phone yesterday for all customers. So, I put my order in (I have an order number), and he said I'd receive it most likely on Tuesday, but possibly Monday. By the way, the price was $399, less $100 because I was eligible for the upgrade discount. What is everyone else paying?

I was also able to order mine as of Friday in a store. The guy first said that he wasn't going to be able to do it, then when he checked his computer, it let him order it and said they had 6900 in the warehouse.
I should get it today or tomorrow.

I am already a Verizon subsciber. My two year renewal time was just about here so they let me get the discount for renewing now for 2 years. I paid $299 for the phone. It's been shipped to me. I have the tracking number and checked. Should have it tomorrow.

FINALLY got mine today! Seems too good to be true, but it is. Nevertheless, I'm pretty pleased thus far. I had a little hickup with the web whereby it wasn't working. Once I called in the tech was able to manually connect the browser and now all is well. The treo takes a little getting used to but I think it will be good once I get used to it. I can't wait.

I got mine yesterday (May 17). So far so good, but does take time to get used to all the features of this phone. I love being able to read and send e-mail.

I got mine yesterday too! Unfortunately, I had to pay FULL retail price for mine because I had just renewed and got a new phone with the $100 discount a couple of months ago. I wasn't too upset though because with the $100 off and the $50 mail-in rebate, I really paid nothing for the phone.
Anyway, I'm happy so far with my Treo. I like it much better than the 600. By the way, what is everybody doing for a case for the Treo? I'm usually not a case person, but I do feel like I need something to improve the grip on this thing. I prefer a skin or form fit case. Has anyone ordered one of these?
