Treo 650 for Verizon
I was in the local Verizon today talking to the techs about a problem with my LG4500, so I decided to probe them on the LG 8000 and Treo 650. They said that their internal sites showed them the LG 8000, but they were not conviced that Verizon was getting the Treo 650. Does anyone here know how far ahead of release the phones begin to show up internal to Verizon techs? The post about Sprint consuming the first quarter production makes sense, but is there any way to confirm this is really what is keeping the phone from Verizon until then?

I have been asking Verizon Sales about the 650 off and on since January and nobody seems to know the exact date. None of them have indicated that the phone is not coming. The last I was told was June. We'll see.

was in a verizon store in rochester, ny this afternoon inquiring about the status of the 650. the rep informed me that the information card for the 650 that is displayed behind the phones are in the store!

not true, i called each store in the verizon area and none have received ANY info or sheets on the treo 650. can you specify which store you talked with?

i spoke with the store manager at that location... and he said they have not gotten anything in regarding the 650. That includes, promotional materials, dummy phones, etc.... nothing.
He did say he expects in within the next couple months... but he has no idea when.

I was in the Circuit City down in Taunton and I was holding the store card in my hand. They are in the stores. Guess it just depends on how you stroke the manager 🙂

If you look closely at the "treo 650 card" you will see it is a fake. The treo has only one (1) screen so the description of two 65K screens is a spoof.
