I have used both Garmin and TeleNav and I must say that they both work extrememly. I was actually quite surprised. They are both a little bit different. Garmin displays a map with a triangle on the screen (representing your location) while TeleNav gives you turn-by-turn. Although I like seein a map I actually preffered TeleNav because the maps are loaded via Vision so sometimes it may take a while to load a map and vision is constantly being used while TeleNav uses vision periodically. TeleNav has a better UI in my opinion and has more options plus the directions are better and it gives you route types while Garmin doesn't. TeleNav also re-routes much faster than Garmin and the voice directions are louder and clearer. I would recommend TeleNav but they are both worth checking out.
