Also a Sprint employee here.

Have you tried selecting the PictBridge option when you connect the USB cable?

I don't actually have a 5600, so I haven't been able to try it with the demo phone.

My question to you would be why you would really need to bypass the SD card?
And how you got it at such a great price? Maybe E-Points or Buyback credits??

Thanks to a lead from this post, I went to Ebay to look for SanDisk's new 1GB minSD card, and I did "Buy it now" for $80, 89 with shipping. I've seen posts in lots of places where people pay TONS of money for miniSD cards in comparison, I've seen sites selling this card for almost $200.

That's cool...$10 is nothing to sneeze at...only thing is, I had mine in 5 days and it's fueling my mp3 player as we speak! 🙂

I did the $89 thing on eBay and was very happy with the result. I had my card in roughly 5 days. Just in time for me to fill roughly about 20 hours worth of Podcasts for the long trip to Vermont (no TV and radio) and tons of room to video capture my twins.

Best Buy was selling it for about $130.

I read in a "User Review" that you can put a full length movie on the miniSD card for viewing on these types of phones. Because I'm a newbie to converting video files, etc. can someone tell me how this process works, and what software is needed to do so?
Thanx! 😎

Yes you can store about 2-5 full length movies of a 1GB card depending on the size of the file. Go here for more explanation and help
