issue with sd card help!!!!

Got my 5600 and was wondering if anybody else has this problem. When i go to upload either pics or ringers into my sd card from pc it just says transferring and it never stops. When I look into sd card on my pc it shows file is there. However if I just close windows explorer and pull out my usb connection file doesnt show up on card, HOWEVER if I shut my pc down after each individual file even though it still says file transferring it comes out ok. I dont think its normal to have to shut my pc down after each one and why does it just hang up on file transferring even though its already there. Even does this with a small 7kb picture. Thanks for any help...
