Well I've had my phone since January, and have had no problems with the casing. If the phone has been subjected to extreme variances in temperature... these would present ideal conditions for such a crack in your phone. And being Christmas time since you have owned it, that may be the case. Do you leave your phone in the car, or extreme conditions such as very cold or very hot? Sanyo's have been known to be very durable, in fact their website represents many users who have had their phones run over, dropped, eaten by animals, etc., and believe it or not they still function! But again, the temperature thing may be the problem, a crack such as this would most likely come from having the phone exposed to very cold (such as leaving in the car when it is below freezing), and then bringing the phone in your home (as an example) where it may be in the 70's. I notice two black cover fixtures on either side of the flip that perhaps keep it intact. Is this what is broken?
