because Sanyo makes phones exclusively for Sprint, they do get the best reception. (they are more sensitive to the towers)

and i agree that this phone is ugly as hell... i've never liked Nextel's phones and why Sprint is making phones like that i will never understand...

The 7400 should be out this week. Sprint is sending all the dummy phone to the stores now.
You might want to check Radio Shack. I dont know why but the Shackers always seem to get the new sprint phones first. No clue why.
If you can hold out, Sanyo and Sprint are launching a ton of new phones late 4th quarter early 2005. Let me tell you, it would be in your best interest to wait. There is some really cool stuff coming. That is all I can say.

Sprint is a horrible cell phone provider..you sll should really switch to verizon...then your phone wont be searching for a signal when you need it most..I've had sprint service before ..they really do suck!! returned my sanyo vm4500 two days later...cool phones are only cool if they work well...Sprint sucks...

As I read that I laughed... I think it does depend on location/phone no matter what provider your have. Buuuut.. I can tell you that three people in my office here have verizon, two with att... Myself and one other have sprint.. We are the only ones that get a consistant signal in the building.. Everyone else goes outside or is stuck to the window.. funny too that two people with verizon and the lg6000 phone showed me that their signal goes from 3 bars.. to none.. then back to 3.. then none.. cant even make a call in the building.. Happens all the time when I am around people with other providers "my phone is getting no signal, hello? hello? hold on " (one person in particular with tmobile gsm comes to mind) and I use my phone and i...

How is Sprint horrible? Have you ever used them? Verizonโ€™s users have this arrogance to them that I will never understand. Verizon sucks. Why don't you look at the reviews based on surveys conducted by J.D. Power and Associates? In most markets, Sprint comes up on to.

I have both Sprint and Verizon (VM4500 & V710) I hate my Verizon phone, I can never understand people, and it sounds like ****. Further more my bill is never the price we agreed on, there are always random charges and little bull ****s that they like to through in to keep their high ass MRC's. Sprint even offers fair and flexible, you pay for what you use, it doesn't get much better that, and it makes sense.

Check out the J.D. Power and Associates review of the major w...

I dunno about that last guy from Seattle, but that's where I'm located, and I can say Sprint and Verizon have almost equal coverage here. Verizon still works better in some subfloor areas (parking garages) but on the whole, Sprint gets a LOT less blocked and dropped calls, because Verizon's network is way over capacity here. I've been a Sprint customer for many years, and I know they're expanding their network while Verizon is neglecting our area in favor of bigger cities and their EVDO rollout (just wait for Sprint's ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

The Qwest acqusition really helped Sprint's network here as well.

(I have a Sanyo 5300 and I'm probably going to wait for the 5600)
