Changing phone to accept mp4

i have used the bluetooth to transfer a mp4 video file to my phone but when i try to play it says its not supported. PLEASE HELP AS I WUD LOVE THIS VIDEO ON MY PHONE

Many mp4 files I have tried have the same result, but many are ok. It maybe a resolution thing, if the file was recorded with a fixed pixel resolution it could be a problem.
Check out .3gp files for better success.

the phone accepts mp4 videos ... but the resolution has to be 176*144

...
