i930 discontinued for i940???

well my little cousin works at sprint as a phone rep. and she told me that they discontinued the i930 because of unforseen problems with the phone so people say. but the phone has been great with me i really like it. and all of the i930's are on recall from nextel. to be replaced by the same looking i940?? does anyone know something about this or was my little cousin just messing with me
