Yes you are allowed to assign ringtones to different people. A day before I got my phone a website said you couldnt and I was real disopointed, but in fact you can!

not sure you can, the best way to do that would be to call up nextel or boost. If they don't give you the answer you're looking for, search online for a third party retail store in your area and ask them. Just make sure that they don't tell you what you want to hear just to make a sale. Although, boost mobile wants your business so they should give you a straight answer.
