blackberry 7100 or 7290????

v710 sucks

Please advise. Which phone is better? Is it really annoying to have a phone and just use blackberry for data? Work in real estate, dont absolutely need to respond to emails right away...

Also, which is better Cingular or T_Mobil?
I live in New York City are, and have heard mixed reviews.
Thanks!! 😕

I've tried both and for me it's a slam dunk. Go with the 7290.

The 7100 is nervewracking. Yes, there are some who have no problem with two letters per key, but I found it frustrating.

If all you really want is a phone with light email backup, ok, go with 7100.
But if you are mostly interested in email/pda, you'll be far happier with the 7290.

does anybody actually use the 7290 as a phone? Also, is there a dif between the black one that cingular makes and the light blue/ gray one that T- Mobil makes?
And i think T- Mobil is more worth it, because they have by far the cheapest data plan.

TMobile is most definitely the "best" choice!
I've had Cingular...yea..well. Forget them!
I've had nearly every carrier there is out there. TMobile beats all of them hands down!

if you are in nyc then you have to have cingular. tmobile may be cheap, but it's useless, unless you are on the roof of your building. i've had both and tmobile would only work in a few spots. i just switched over to cingular and can even get some calls on the subway. also, my company is providing us with a black berry. the choice is the 7100 or the 7290. overwhelmingly everyone in the office chose the 7290 for it's ease of use. i also have the razr for my private use, but would be happy with only the blackberry as a phone (with the bluetooth headset).
