My first week with the 7280
- I swapped my SIMcard in as soon as I got it; it powered up and functioned without incident--except for the web browser. Two thumbs up to the excellent help from Nokia tech support (Cingular did nothing) for getting me completely on line.
- Fairly comfortable to use; a little thick, but narrow profile goes into a pocket without much of a problem.
- Once you program the voicedaili...
Also, I can't get an alarm sound--just a vibration. I haven't had a chance to call Nokia yet.
I own the phone and love it. The alarm works - I chose the taxi ringtone. The phone is supposed to sound and vibrate when alarming; this will continue to as snoozing if you don't stop the alarm.
I'd love to get internet service but T-mobile doesn't have the phone's specifications. You said Nokia helped you. Someone else told me the same thing. Is your phone the
European version ( GSM 900 1800 1900) ?
T-Mobile has such bad service in midtown that I wonder if another version with 850 1800 and 1900 bands would be better.
2005 to 2008 is a long while - you might have moved on to a new phone by now. Nonetheless, any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
