Durability and Camera Questions

MISTER04

Does anyone know if the slider phone form is more durable than the flip phone form?

The slider form is newer, but that doesn't mean anything when looking for a phone that will not break easily.

Also how does the video capture work with this phone?
Does the camera swivelling affect video capture or camera quality?

How much is this phone going to cost?
Is it worth getting when the Samsung P777 has better features but will cost more?

Thanks.

The Kyocera Slider had all kinds of durability/reliability issues. But then again the phone just felt cheap overall. I will tell you the new Audiovox 6600 from Verizon feels rock solid in comparison. I think it's a question of "you get wha...

I just recently bought a used Siemens SL56, slider phone. I really like the phoen dispite it being an older phone. Part of the reason sliders are so nice is because they are so small and compact, what the point of a SLider with an Antenna, might as well just be a flip phone. No to mention I think LG is the only company that has not yet released a non-bar style phone with an internal antenna. Get with the masses LG no more external antennas on the flip or other sysle phones.

That's not true. My sister has an LG on Sprint's service. It's the VI5225 / 5400A twins. Though that is the only inetnal-antenna-flip i know of from LG.

I count 4 only on this site with internal antennas. And I have an LG C1300 (which is like LG's crappiest phone ever) since last June and its doing just fine. No problems with anything falling apart or anything. 😁

Funny...you must be one of the few with a C1300 who haven't had it fall to h*ll and back. I had to send mine (thankfully I don't use it often) to get reflashed just last week.

In fact, if you check the Cingular site, they're pushing free C1300 refurbs, which tells me I'm not the only one who's had to send this technological lob cabin back for reconditioning.

Thankfully, there are rumors of three new LG devices (including a PTT), and they all seem much nicer. However, I just saw the Nokia 6682, and LG is not even in that league.

Yeah, actually my phone has been pretty great. What do ya know??....lol. And with an exception of the vx8100 I would have to agree with your comment on the Nokia 6682. But of course thats what happens when you look at CDMA phones.

Also worth noting that the P777 isn't all that spectacular either...

I would take a Motorola or the new Nokia series first.
