IS VERIZON SERIOUS?
this phone lacks so many features that i thought would actually come standard on most phones now a days. the sub lcd picture caller ID?? or at least a sub lcd wallpaper?? and is it possible to set vibrate for text messages? i just got this phone today and i must say its very dissapointing. my last phone was the LG vx4600, it was not a camera phone so i thought i would upgrade to a more advanced phone.... nope, i took a step back in technology and gained a camera n a flash light n an ugly menu scheme. does anyone else feel this way??

you are a complete and udder idiot, the phone has sub lcd wallpaper, it also has vibrate for text messaging. maybe you should read your manual before you complain in front of alot of knowledgeable people and make yourself look like a complete moron.

i know it has the digital and analog clock but can u customize it for your own pics?? sorry i jus got the phone today and i did read the manual and i still cant figure out how to vibrate text... can u please help me?

The outside lcd is not capable of photo caller id. You can only use a few wallpapers to customize. Hope this helps! 😉

i figured that one out... thanx for the reply, when u say a few can customize does that mean the standard wallpapers (3) that come with the phone or are u able to download more backgrounds and customize the clock to your liking?

and once again i ask anyone... do you know how to set text message alert to vibrate only? and when i said vibrate only i mean only that alert vibrates and the ringtone can also be set at high ring... every phone i had before this one was capable to do that.

i know this may be months later, but i'm trying to look into the 9800 vs the 8940 i own. to get vibrate for texts, just set the phone ringer mode to vibrate only. you will get everything in vibrate, phone calls and texts. other than that, there is no vibrate alert for texts only from what i can see.
