8940 Ticking???

I bought the 8940 on Friday and I heard what it sounds like a watch ticking when talking on the phone, it happens 8/10 times. I took it back, the other phone has the same problem. The service rep couldn't heard it though. ☹️ Anyone else have this problem? I really like this phone but can't stand the ticking.

Ticking? You may want to check the phone for explosives.....

I bought the phone the day it was released. I too have the ticking problem. I have no idea what it is though and it doesnt do it all the time either. Maybe a little more than half, but it is a major issue and why I'm considering switching to one of the other phones. Let me know if you figure anything out.

I have had many problems with their phones and been through about 3 different models and 9 phones in the past year! Including the Audiovox 9900 which was supposed to be one of the better made phones out. Verizon doesn't take the time to thoroughly test their phones before releasing them. I will keep going back if I have a problem then they upgrade me free of charge to the newest compatible model they have. If Verizon doesn't mind taking a hit each time on the phone I don't mind having the latest and greatest technology even though it's not so great. Eventually I will get tired of the back and forth BS and just leave them all together.

My 8940 just did the ticking sound last night for the first time. I did try switching to the speaker phone and did not hear it; only in the earpiece. I wonder if it's something Verizon could fix with some sort of update, or if it's in the hardware of the phone and would require the whole phone to be replaced.
Either way, this phone is starting to get on my nerves.

I returned 2 of them, they all tick. It's not that big a deal, but it is annoying and it should be fixed!
