by 8940guy    Feb 9, 2005, 3:18 AM

Couldnt see another thread about this but heres what you do ...

1. buy a radioshack cable #28 for snapdialer
2. download the curitel USB drivers from the 8900 forum on
3. plug in the phone
4. when it asks for the driver point it to the extacted drivers from the curitel zip file.
5. visit
6. download QPST software
7. install it (i didnt need to reboot but you probably will)
8. find the COM port the phone is installed on. you can do this with 'device manager' in the 'System' control panel. look under modems. right click and get properties. click advanced > advanced port settings to find the COM port.
9. Go to QPST configuration tool (that you jsut installed)
10. add the COM port for the phone (you found this in step Cool to the configuration.
11. your phone should show up
12. click 'EFS explorer' under 'start clients' menu option
13. select your phoen
14. browse to 'brew > shared > jpeg'
15. right click files and click 'Copy from phone' to download
16. they look like crap imho but then this is what people seem to want so here it is.

sorry no example pics to prove this. but i promise i havent paid a dime (or a quarter) to vzw to get the photos im currently seeing on my screen.

and yes the movies work too, but they look AWFUL on screen.

i own a $1000 digital camera with a $1600 lens. i dont really care bout the camera, but its nice to know i can if i ever need to get pictures off easily.

NB: Curitel makes the phone. Audiovox just brands it
