My complaints about the 8940
After 4 days of use, I've found these issues (at least they are issues in my opinion). If anyone knows workarounds for these please tell.
Cannot configure duration of low setting of backlight (fixed at 5 seconds)
Vibrate then ring can only use loudest ring volume!
Vibrate and ring can only use loudest ring volume!
Vcast volume setting #2 too loud, setting #1 is the same as #0 (mute)
Vcast audio plays on outter speaker, not inner speaker (causing sound to go away from viewer)
Phone book doesn't have an 'Other' phone number element.
Camera quality is horrible.
Cannot zoom/pan on picture once taken, no way to tell if picture is any good.
mini-SD card is crippled.

yup, the new samsung that looks hot to come out this year with the qwerty keyboard, i bet you a million dollars that card will be crippled too. Dont buy nothing until you research it thru here
...
