Problems with handset powering up on it's own
I have been experiencing a very strange problem. When I power the handset off, within minutes, sometimes seconds, it powers itself back on. I replaced the handset, but continued to have the problem. Sony Ericcson sent me a new battery. Still having problems. Anyone else having this issue? Any ideas what it could be? The only thing left to change is the SIM card, and I doubt that would cause this issue.

is it on the charger when this happens. if so its normal. also if you are hitting keys (doesnt have to be power keys) while charging or powered off this may happen.

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, no it isn't on the charger when it happens. I haven't hit any keys either. I just power it down, and as I am putting it down it just powers back up. Sometimes even before it leaves my hand. Other times it stays off for a few seconds/minutes and then powers back up. Usually it's sitting on a table with nothing around it when it happens.

thats definatly a software problem. unfortunatly i cant find any of the software updates for this device anymore. 😢 if was able to i'd send it to you in an email. but sorry. try contacting sony ericsson to see if they can sent you the update. when i tried they told me no but a friend of mine got it out of them but erased to software from his pc before i knew he even had it.
