Hi,

Could someone tell me how I can go about upgrading the firmware on s710a? I would like to do it myself so,

- what cable I would need?
- what software I would need to perform the upgrade?
- where can I get a stable version that will work on cingular without making a zombie out of my phone?

I'd sincerely appreciate your support.

Thanks !

i haven't tried to do it myself but i can only guess you'll need a data cable or be able to send a link to your phone and download it.

i believe you can get the upgrade from the sony ericsson website itself. check previous threads if this forum, a while ago i think i saw something on it. 🙂

That what I was looking for, couldn't find it myself ☚ī¸ so i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

I don't mind buying the cable, i just need to know how to do it, where to get the firmware and all that jaaz.

Also navigated for a while on sony ericsson's website, i thought i found it a long time ago, but couldn't get to it when i just tried it yesterday.

yea a while back i seen it on their site but recently i cant find it. they were offering two ways of doing it: either through data cable, or you can download it from a link they send to you in a text msg. i remember it because it said you'll loose all you data such as games, ringers,etc,..... thats why i didn't do it because i didn't have a bluetooth dongle to transfer pics and ringers.
