How is iTunes going to "damage your phone"??? I too use iTunes to edit MP3's to create custom ringtones. Theoretically, if I use up all 160mb of storage on my phone, and then try to transfer a ringtone to it that there is not room for, it will NOT damage anything. The phone will just say "insufficient storage".

iTunes will also edit mp3 files into clips for ringtones. You can choose the start/stop times down to the millisecond, as well as choose the bitrate. iTunes is a FREE download. I looked into handset mgr & found that you have to buy THEIR data cable/bt receiver/IR receiver in order to use the program. I'll stick w/ the freebie.
