I believe you can I was going to do the same thing but then decide I can not really wait for it to come out and mainly the phone cost too much. Plus I would be to afriad to bring it to my school because it probably will get stolen. So, I will just spend the money on an ipod, some cloths and other stuff cause 600.00 bucks can get ya a lot instead of just a phone.

Since the phone accepts a memory stick duo...I guess the answer would be yes. You're just out the cash to get the size duo stick you need.

Is that due to memory addressing capabilities of the phone or size limits with Memory Stick Duo?

Unless there is an addressing limitation in the phone, it should be able to use larger sizes of Memory Stick Duo as they come out. 128 Mb is the current max size, although Memory Stick Duo Pro does come in a 512 Mb size.
