T-Mobile & AIM trouble

I recently got my S710a, love it.. but I can't connect to AIM. Weird thing is that my little webbrowser to get to "T-Zones" junk will work, and so do my text messaging. Calling T-Mobile has proved useless. When I try to sign on to AIM via T-Mobile GPRS it says "Sign on failed. Service not available."
Any help is appreciated.

That's because T-Mobile blocked the ports to allow your access to other stuff than WAP. To use AIM, you'd have to sign up for their $19.99/month internet plan. It's a load of crap.

I'm in the same boat, with a different phone. \:

Ugh that sucks. I used AIM (without having to sign up for the monthly ****) on my previous phone, but I guess I was able to cause it was a T-Mobile suppported phone. Ahhh I hate T-M! Can't wait till my contract is up.
