I WANT MY F***ING PHONE!!!! NO WONDER THE SALES REPS WONT SELL THEIR 2 PHONES TO ANYONE IN THE STORE....ESP. UPGRADES.....NO MONEY IN IT!!! PLUS THEY ARE PROBABLY USING THE PHONES FOR THEMSELVES!!! I REFUSE TO SELL ANYTHING SONY UNTIL I GET MY GOD FORSAKEN S710A!!!

I understand your upset. I was upset for a while, acutally i was pissed, but after you get your phoen you will be so happy. Hang in there and call all your local stores. If you are in an urban area you have to find one. GOOD LUCK

I WON THIS PHONE FROM SELLING SONY S**T TO EVERY CUSTOMER....NOW THAT IT'S TIME FOR SONY TO PONY UP TO THE WINNERS.....WHERE THE F**K ARE THEY...I DO NOT HAVE TO BUY THIS....AND NEITHER SHOULD THE OTHER WINNERS OF THIS PHONE...AND WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT U CAN PRETTY MUCH EXPECT EVERY CINGULAR EMPLOYEE WHO WON ONE TO ACT THE SAME WAY I AM....NO SALES OF SONY PRODUCT TILL WE GET OUR PHONES!!!!

think about it. Would sony and Cingular rather sell their BRAND NEW PHONE or give it away. Sony and cingular will only give you the phone as soon as the demand cools down for it. It only makes sense man. I paid 449 for this phone and i should have it before the winners. sry

Gee wouldnt it make sense for the people who sold the crappy product to have it in their hands to tell the customers how it works...instead of having to wait 2 or 3 months....thats OK I am actually going to start advising anyone who can to use the phones that come in instead of selling them until we get ours...hey only fair right???

First of all (gih311), this product is not crappy, second of all, if u think it is crappy, don't "wait" for it, and third of all, isn't a comapny supposed to have "the customers come first", that's what i thought....so the most ya'll guys can do is be thankfull ya'll got it for free, and know that you will recieve the equipment in due time,...and not have to pay the 450+ to get it, ok guys 🙄

I didnt emphasize that the S710A was crap...the T237 and the Z500...yes...absolutely...and it is unacceptable that we as front line sales reps....who deal with all the BS that general customers throw at us...dont get comp'd in due time....anyways...guess I will just use the S710A that comes in my store instead of selling it.....noi big in the end I guess

i completly understand exactly where your coming from (gih311), imagine the bs that i put up with.... im in cust care, 😲 , so i know exactly what you mean....and oh yeah, you luck dog, i can't believe ya'll guys get it for free, your so lucky....i got mine for 400, i only got the 30% off of the 549.99, but im ok 😉

For every activation I do, I get between 10-35 bucks towards a Super Certificate on GiftCertificates.Com. Decembers Sales are give to us on the 1st of Feb. Still haven't gotten mine. Had over 2K worth.... Thats some nice clothes and a ski trip for me .... wonder if there will still be snow on the mountians when I actually get the payout...lol

cingular doesnt care abbout selling these instead of giving them away, because cingular has nothing to do with it. i know what i am talking about, its in my name, you however, do not. this contest is straight from sony, and so comes the product

I really don't mind waiting, pyro - I just want an appx. date of when they're planning on shipping. If I have to wait a couple weeks, a month, so be it. Its just like the way we're all waiting for the release of the phone, not having a date to look forward to. Then, like now, waiting is easier when you have a date to look forward to. Not knowing, combined with the attitude that we get from "program headquarters" just for asking - these are the things that make many of us irritated. I do understand gih311's frustration, though I'm not nearly as rabid about it as he is.

Really though, how are hi...

I agree that not having a date makes it more difficult and SE really should just tell you guys that it will take x number of days.

The difference between joking about storming SE/cingular and threatening to not do your job seems pretty obvious to me. Don't get me wrong, i've worked in tech retail before (never again!) and I understand how it works. I've just heard so many complaints about not getting something free fast enough that it's tiring.

Everyone knows that nothing in life is free and often times you have to be patient for those bonuses like that.

I guess what I meant to say is that I didn't take him seriously about not doing his job.... I figured that he's just saying that crap in his frustration.

I had my say about it (most of my complaining was meant in a lighthearted sense anyway).... no more whining from me - at least as long as we get it in a reasonable timeframe. If we still don't have the thing 3 months from now, then that's unacceptable & I think we have a bit of a right to be upset. Everybody seriously getting their panties in a wad about it the day after its been released is ridiculous.

I agree - it would be unacceptable to have to wait more than a month. So if you guys still dont have them by the end of March - let me know and I'll start calling them asking when too! 🙂

Shipping the phones too us are gonna be 1.2 million loss of profit. 2700 phones at 450 a pop... Cingular and Sony Ericsson are going to take their time shipping to us. I don't think any company will wanna miss out on 1.2 million in possible profit. But I would still love some sort of expectation date... but I guess I will just forget about it, and be excited to see it come... 😳

Ah, but remember how much each winner had to sell for SE in order to get an award phone? This more than offsets the $450 loss per unit, don't you think? Not to mention the fact that we're all still selling SE products. I'm sitting on about 2800 points to date right now. Would be more, except that we've been out of z500's for over a week.

They can afford it 😉

Ok, how many phones do nokia and motorola give away to reps? And SE wonders why we sell more of those phones... easy to understand... the reps have them in their hand to use and are more comfortable selling a phone they use. You could look at it like a 1.2 million dollar give away, or 1.2million dollars of product training and motivation, and enthusiasm for s.e. products. The last SE phone I used was the t68i.

man, the phone was just released yesterday. i won the phone to, but give them a break. Sony's putting up 2,700 S710a's total for the contest, that's over double what Cingular even has on stock for paying customers at the moment. I agree that they should give us some kind of date, and im sure we'll be hearing something soon.

I'm not even an employee, but after reading here and on Hofo I have to ask. Wasn't there some disclaimer about the contest ending either the end of March of end of April, and that all prizes would be mailed within a few weeks after the contest end date?

Just curious.

No, it said the sony style dollars would be at the end of the contest, and the s710's would be shipped based on market availabilty
