Hero,

Do you know good 3rd party retailers to buy SE phones from that are a little cheaper...I know Expansys is suppose to be good, but they cost more than SE website...at least the S700i does...??

I was thinking of getting S700i off of SE site, just to feel safe and to know that I'm getting a legit product. Then the thought of paying $700 makes me feel sick 🤭 and stupid đŸ˜ŗ...

It's funny that you ask because I was just about to ask that same question. Expansy's is pretty expensive I agree, they want almost $800 for the S700i, they are offering the S710a as well and my guess is that the price will be similar.

There's a site called wirelessimports.com, they are pricey as well with most stuff, they do offer the S700i for under $600, but they dont offer the S710a, I emailed them and they said it's possible that they will, which pretty much that can go either way.

Past that, I really don't know of any 3rd party carriers that'll be offering the S710a. I tried searching Google and I didn't come up with much, if anything at all.

If you go to wirelessimports.com, in the upper right hand corner there's a field wh...

Wow that's really cheap for the S700i.

It looks legit though, I'm sure they're trustworthy. They offer a business address, a phone number that you can always call and speak to them directly. And if there was any problem with the phone, like any business, I'm sure they'd let you return/exchange it.

Too bad they don't offer the S710a though ☚ī¸

Yeah, I saw them too....alot of these places are really cheap and they are all in NY....U don't suppose they sell the shell of a phone with some %^$&** stuff on the inside of it right?
I here alot of people in the forums talking about how cheap phones are in NY...usually when I buy a phone, I buy from a store, not on the street

I highly doubt they're selling just the shell with who knows what inside. I have noticed that as well, that alot of these places are in NY, but it's sort of like with online stores that sell auto performance products, 99% of them are in California. I've only had one problem ordering something online and that was through Cingular.

My father bought his Ericsson R380, SE P800, and P910 from Expansy's and he's never had any problem whatsoever. The only problems he has is figuring out how to use the phones đŸ¤Ŗ

LOL đŸ¤Ŗ Yeah right! This place in Houston called Futuretronics is the same way..they charge alot more for there phones than the daggone actual brand retailer. That is crazy and whoever pays that is crazy too!

Not just crazy, but stupid as well considering everything and everyone around them offering the phone for hundreds less.

But then you have those people that feel if they pay more for the same product, that somehow it'll be better.

I feel like if buy the phone from a carrier or SE, that I will get better customer service should something go wrong or need to be repaired...I like feeling that satisfaction.

Even if you buy from a 3rd party carrier, Sony Ericsson still honors its manufacturer warranty. But as for customer service, that's the only downside to ordering from 3rd partys. Although some can be equally as helpful.
