this is so damn lame.
i called in and ordered a plan on the 9th with unlimited media works.
they didnt activate the phone until the 11th (when unlimited media works was gone), so now they wont give me unlimited media works.

I'd bet if you bitch enough they'll give it to you. Not at the store level but at customer service. If you say you're going to cancel if they don't and you're within your 30 days they'll usually break. The problem is at the store level the actually have those programs flagged and if they're active they can track them back to the reps.

we bitched, we bitched to the CS and her supervisor. we're canceling this and i'll have to go with regular MEdia works. when the business plans go to orange maybe the discount will be enough to cover unlimited data and the sms i need.

the first person i talked to said they couldnt, their supervisor said they couldnt, then they transfered me, i was on hold for about 20 min, they transfered me, and the last person saved the day!!! she acted like it was no big deal and just did it in like ten min, works like a charm!!!! i love you cingular!!!

The plan that he has is $19.99 and in addition to the unlimited internet, you also recieve 1500 text messages and 200 MMS messages.

The difference is that the $24.99 plan you refer to is just "Unlimited MEdia Net", or unlimited wap svc. The plan that Joel & I have is called "MEdia Works", costs $19.99, & includes unlimited MEdia Net, 1500 txt/instant msgs, & 200 mulitmedia msgs. Cingular STILL has a bundled package called "MEdia Works" but it has changed. Now, anyone who signs up for it only gets 3mb instead of unlimited & only 1000 txt/instant msgs. They do increase multimedia msgs from 200 to unlimited, but who gives a rip? - I'm not going to be sending/receiving over 200 of those things per month anyway.

"3mb" only contains 3 character one of which is a number opposed to "unlimited" which contains 9 characters and no numbers.
They both share the character "m". That's the only thing I see they have in common. But as for difference, there's alot. 🤣

I just hope that the design team @ SE was filled w/ perfectionists when they were putting the finishing touches on the s710a. That would make for a good reason for the delays - that we're getting the "perfect" phone.
