I just found out that I can get a discount with Cingular due to being an employee of Securitas. 17% on my monthly service and 30% on phones. 😁

What does Securitas do? My company gives us pretty much the same thing, but I get 50% off, so I can't wait until the S710 comes out, but someone on here said that our discounts won't apply. ☚ī¸ Hopefully that's not true 😉

Securitas is the largest private security company in the world. They came here to America from Spain, where they were already the industry leader in Europe and so on. They bought out all the major private security company's in the US, like Burns International and Pinkertons. They do alot of small time private security all the way to more high profile clients like democratic and republican conventions, the PGA tour, World Series, World Cup, The Emmys, The Oscars, etc.. Ever go to one of them and you'll be sure to see Securitas officers on site 😁

I work one of the not so high profile clients, Im posted at an Office Depot warehouse.

My business discount right now is through AT&T, and I am supposed to get 50% off equipment, but phones like the RAZR are still full price, so I don't know.

Old-style ATTWS FAN discounts are now officially gone, replaced by your choice of contract pricing (same as consumer) OR 50% off (non-subsidized) FULL retail.

looks like AT&T is still alive and kicking (they've even got the treo 650 on there).

If, and when, one converts to Orange, the 'old' way goes away instantly. I'm not disputing that Blue may still be offering the FAN discounts as before, but I've been told that will be soon end.

My company has the same type of page with AT&T. I'm trying to intiate a chat with CS to ask if my disount still applies if I migrate to Orange and if I can use the discount in-store.

I see the same thing with the RAZR, it's still $500 with the discount. If I click on details, it says discount applies to "most" voice devices.

Ok, do CS reps intentionally mislead you or are they just misinformed? Ridiculous how a company allows disinformation.

I initated a CS chat on my company's AT&T site and he said that I cannot migrate in store, I have to it on the phone.

I was skeptical so I called 1-800-888-7600 and the CS rep was very informative, giving me the migration procedure. I CAN do it in-store (coporate store) and my 14% discount on plans still apply but the 30% on equipment applies only to the full retail price.

I plan on getting a free phone and hopefully the S710a will be out in 30 days. I've heard too many rumors about rate changes coming up to take any chances.

that's exaclty what i did (/am doing again due to text messaging problems). on the 12th (maybe the 11th) they are changing voice/data plans. 25 a month will get unlimited data and no sms/mms, for i think 15 you'll get about a thousand sms, unlimited mms. i dont remember all the voice changes, but there will be a 1500 min plan for 85 a month, that i know. grab a plan while you can, fellas.

I won't make a new thread out of this, but I bought the V180 with the National 250 plan and Media Basic (I already have a T637). I got my 14% discount too.

Anyway, the rep said she's hoping for the S710a next week, maybe as soon as monday. Pricing, and I even look at the excel spreadsheet, was $420 with 2 years, but $20 off if you get Media Basic. I didn't look at the other prices.

i'm not sure, i think i can do that, but they're AT&T branded, and the pricing is really weird on some.

I work for cingular at a corporate store....sorry to say the only discount now available is on monthly service....they had the discount on equipment that was the percentage off the full retail price....which is 499.99 but they are no longer offering that....just the monthly service discount.

That's nice and all, but because I know the one rep that works at the store and I dont know you, I'm not going to be too trusting of your word, no offense. But people come on these boards all the time talking like they know something. So since I know him, I can be a little more, or alot more trusting of him.

And another thing that came to mind, a fellow co-worker of mine did get a discount when he purchased his RAZR. What's up with that?

I also have a friend at a cingular corporate store who assured me that I could get the phone on discount because of the company I work for. As the discount is new in 2005 (40% on phones and 10% on plans), why would cingular even begin a discount to cancel it a month later? It just does not make any sense.

Like I said, some people come on here and bullshit. I went into a different corporate owned store, one that my friend doesn't work at. I asked if my 30% discount valid, they said yes. I asked, if I were to buy this phone (I pointed to a Samsung E317) today, right now, would I walk out of here with it at a 30% discounted rate, they said yes I would. The woman at the store double-checked and re-assured me my discount was and is valid.

Like I said, people come on here talking like they know something. Now personally, I'm going to take the word of a person that I'm speaking to face to face with, rather than someone that's posting on a forum. Which im smart for doing considering just how many people like to BS on the internet.

YOU DON'T GET THE DISCOUNT.....THEY ARE NOT CORRECT...... đŸ‘ŋ IF ANYTHING WAS POSSIBLE...IT WOULD BE THE PERCENTAGE OFF THE FULL RETAIL COST PRICE OF THE PHONE.....WHICH IS WHAT THEY STOPPED....AND EVEN IF THEY ARE DOING IT WHICH THEY ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO!!!! YOU WOULD STILL HAVE TO SIGN A 2 YEAR CONTRACT...if your "friends" who work for cingular would like me to straighten them out give them my personal email address it is gjh19782001@yahoo.com
