Anyone else have this problem?

I am on my second Kyocera k9 with virgin mobile and for the second time the "9" key stopped working. I wonder if it could have something to do with the battery charger. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a way to fix it without getting a new phone? hopefully untill then I won't need to call 911 Razz
