Ok - we have a price!
Good morning all.
Finally the long awaited release looks to be soon. I will admit, I called VZW out of curiosity, (based on previous threads) and I was told that the "possible" release date may be April 21, 2005. I replied, "if it is possible, what would the possible price be?" I was told "149.99 - 1 year contract, and 89.99 - 2 year contract." I believe there is a 50.00 rebate as well. Obviously, they can only speculate and the CS rep gave me all kinds of disclaimers.
To me, this means the release will be sometime next week, or early May. They have a price on this phone, which means that is has been approved and it just needs to be marketed and shipped to VZW stores.

but whats so special about this phone? why get this one instead of others - sure the screen pops up... but thats about it. i have a v710 and ready to get rid of it 🙂 looking for a replacement this one sparked my intersest ...

1. internal antenna
2. pop up screen makes it a tad smaller
3. its Samsung
4. speakerphone
5. I like the white color. its definitely something different than the normal grey/silver
