I did speak to tech support again yesterday. They told me that the phone is broken... that is why i cannot access mobile web, EvDo, or get it now (even though i was able to access the mobile web on sunday when i got the phone, and get it now up until tuesday afternoon). This is an issue "they just recently learned about on the a890". So bring it in and VZW tech support will replace the phone.


Since I wrote to the VZW CS Rep that I had been speaking to over the past few weeks, on Wednesday and have not heard anything from her, I went and got a line from sprint to try out. I got the i500 for $50 and am very happy with it so far. tons of features and the voice quality is excellent. Same number of bars as the a890, (though both are less than the xv4400 and vx-10 i had)

Hopefully when i trasnfer the other two lines from the a670 to the a740 on sprint, they will be just as good as the i500.
