Bluetooth on Samsung

Samsung is usually on top of things, but they still have not acquired bluetooth on their phones. I know that CDMA phones don't have bluetooth (excluding Motorola v710), but Samsung GSM phones should have it right? Why or why not?

😁 The upcoming GSM phones are going to have Bluetooth on them. Maybe the CDMA versions of Samsungs phones are not bluetooth compatible because maybe Verizon tells them not to put it on their phones, or simple that Verizon disables the bluetooth feature.

Thanks...You are right about Verizon disabling the bluetooth, because it doesn't even let you transfer data on its v710. I think we should pick the phone that correspond with the network and the company should give us service.

😁 Switch to T-Mobile, if you like. They have bluetooth phones and better plans! 😁

T-mobile has better plans, but you get what you pay for. 👿

There is a reason chure is nearly 50% 🙄

Works good in certain ares, but even those area's if you plan on using in a basement, you better hope you have a friend that's got verizon. There CDMA is stronger. 🤣 😎

Peace

First of all, it's "churn". Secondly, Tmobile's churn rate is nowhere near 50%.

Oh great, muchdrama has found this forum as well. I have been runing from him for quite some time now after a dissagreement we had. He replyed with my own quote and then pimp slapped me. Friskyfruity-if you know what is good for you you will not reply to muchdrama. Please stay away from the "quote" and the pimpslap and this forum will run smoothly.

Just pointing out that Cap'n Stat doesn't truly understand what churn means.

Churn is basically the people that leave a carrier. The percentage is based on the amount of subscribers. If a company has high churn, their customers are leaving and it doesn't have to be high to negate new customers because the percentage is based on the total subscriber base. If a company had a million customers and a churn rate of 1%, it would mean that 10000 customers left during the period measured. If they signed up 15000 during that same period, their net subscriber growth would be 5000. The trick is to keep the existing customer base while attracting new customers. Hope this helps. The industry has alot of jargon to wade through.

can you please elaborate on the data aspect of the 710. I am under the belief that with the 710, you can at least, unlike the new 8940, transfer vid files from the pc to the phone via a data cable. You can't do this with the 8940, they crippled the disk, good only for mp3 playlists on ur phone, not even as ringtones, nor can you watch any avi. or mpeg files from the pc to your phone. i was hoping to get a credit on this phone and wait for the 815 but i think that will be the same case with that phone.

Samsung's coming out with a bluetooth enabled phone for Verizon, that'll have all the usual bluetooth features, like the headset, etc... not sure when the phone will be out in the market though.
