Samsung A890 problems out of the box
Just bought the Samsung this morning. Didn't realize that it had no speakerphone, stupid me, bad assumption on my part. For the price you would think it would include a common feature like a speakerphone.
So I get home and the phone battery is almost dead which is to be expected. I attach the charger and the phone won't charge. I call the Verizon store and they are so surprised and asking me, do you have it in the charger correctly, blah blah blah. Bottom line is the phone seems ok but I am now suspect of the quality. I was looking at the new Audiovox first and the sales rep tells me that he doesn't think Audiovox makes a good phone and that the Samsung is the better model to take. The LG is just too big for me. I like my Verizon ...

The audiovox is awesome, I have the 8900 and I have absolutley no trouble w/ it and I have dropped it a good bakers dozen times on concrete.
Some phones dont turn on when they are plugged in, i'm not sure if thats the case w/ the samy. Samsungs quality is excellent especially the new ones.
