I am very confused over which phone to get on feb 1. What is the difference in screen size b/w these 3? For those of you who have played around with the vx8000 is it very oversized? how would it feel in a pocket? I appreciate the help. Thanks

The V710 has been out for some time. I wouldn't consider it comparable to the other phones (not EV-DO compatible) I assume you mean the Audiovox CDM-8940? Here is a comparison of the three phones.

i'm actually narrowing it down to those 3 as well
i'd like a speakerphone in my next phone...but i gotta admit..the menu/camera/weight/size of the 890 is very attractive
the bluetooth connectivity is appealing of the 710....but i hear it just drains the battery
the 890s standard battery is supposed to last up to 275 min talk time...less real time...but still good
the 8000 will be up there too...but i find it to be clunky and not really looking forward to the gameboy advance like size for a phone
the 7000 had a nice shape...8000..eh
or i may just save my $300 and buy a 6100. haha

I'd like to point out that the V710 will be the only one of those 3 phones you choose that will be out on February 1st. The other will not be our for who knows how long. My rep, yes I am another person with a rep in these forums, says that the 890 should be before the fall, and the 8000 should be 3rd quarter sometime. We have a while people. I currently own a V710. I cannot see where people say it is horrible. Although it pales in comparison to my trusty StarTAC, it is not as bad as many people make it up to be. I have yet to find a place without any service, the camera is worthless, i agree, but I do not use that feature enough to complain, the screen is very large and a high resolution. You will need the exteneded battery however. ...

You are an idiot dude. Verizon's own website states that VX-8000 and A890 will be available on 2/1. Your so called "rep" stated no such thing. 😡

How dumb are you? The 8000, the 8940, and the 890 are ALL coming out on 2/1/05.
