I know you guyz will be like "He has no idea what he is talking about but I truly believe Verizon could be the underdog in this one. For a couple of reasons First this Phone has PTT, Sprint would not cross over into GSM, they need to work on there CDMA Phones, Verson offers PTT and is suppose to relaunch there PTT this Fall, verizon does have GSM there Samsung A790 is GSM900 and GSM1800. Version has really been coming up on there phones, if we have noticed V710, etc... But who knows maybe this might be one of the other carries first PTT phone, but just don't leave Verizon out on this one.

Verizon does not, and will not, have any GSM network(s), and therefore couldn't possibly offer a GSM-only phone. The Samsung A790 has GSM for overseas roaming only - it only works on the 900 and 1800 bands. Those frequency bands are simply not available for cell phones in the U.S.

Trust me - it is safe to count Verizon out on this one. It is simply technically impossible for a GSM-only phone to work on Verizon's network, and Siemens does not have any plans to make CDMA phones.
