Phone Broke -- how do I upload my phone book

Hi,

My phone is broken -- the top portion
got separated from the keypad portion and the flat cable is torn.

My phone book is in the phone memory,
not the card memory.

Can I upload my phone book to a computer?

I want to preserve my phone book.

Thanks.

Ouch. Well if the phone still powers on. You MIGHT be able to retrieve it using a data cable and the proper software. Otherwise you're screwed.

Ok, so all is well.

The phone did power on (although a little guessing was needed since the top "clam" is separated from the bottom "shell" and the flat data-cable is torn).

I bought the Mobile PhoneTools for Motorola phones from a cellular phone
provider store and was able to extract the whole phone book, calendar and pictures.

Then I was able to download all this to my new phone -- very cool. So my new phone has everything my old phone had. I'm happy.

So all is well.
