Locked ringtones/wallpapers

Is there any way to delete the ringtones and wallpapers with the little "lock" symbol on them? I want to clear up my memory for pictures and ringtones and stuff but can't delete things like the obnoxious "Moto" tune. What's worse, I bought a new ringtone ($2.50!) off the Cingular website and see that it also has the little lock. I can't even delete songs I downloaded myself????

you need mpt and adjust the way the ringtone file is ,and change it!the reason the ringtones you have downloaded are locked is the dma law "digital millenium act" or something like that , the songs have copyrights!

That seems so silly. I can understand them not wanting me to edit it, but to keep me from deleting it? That doesn't make any sense! When you buy a CD at a store that you stop liking after a little while, the store doesn't keep forcing you to listen to it or keep it in your collection.

Well, thanks for the info. I was thinking I'd want to spring for MPT at some point anyway.
