Short battery life? Or is it just me??

I purchased the v551 on Tuesday (or did I get it on Monday? I wish I could remember!!). Anyway, I charged it up all night on Tuesday. By Wednesday night it was dead (in fact, it died mid-convo). Then I left it on the charger all Wednesday. It died again tonight! I haven't been talking on it excessively or anything either. I had a Samsung SGH-X427. That thing had a battery that seemed to last forever. I was in NY for 4 days and I don't think I had to charge it even once.
So, is anyone else noticing an extremely short battery life or is it possible that I have a defective battery???

I'm working under the assumption that my battery life is good. I charged it full yesterday at around 3 PM then was typing phone numbers/e-mails/arranging my address book/setting up options/playing around for literally 8 or 9 hours straight. I talked on the phone for maybe an hour since yesterday and then was tooling around on it for another 5 hours or so before "Low Battery" came up tonight. So though it's just over 24 hours later, I was using it quite a bit. I suppose once I do "typical" usage I'll have better idea.

Good point. I think I was using my phone heavily. Taking picture after picture of my daughter and setting up voice dialing and what not. Perhaps after I finish setting it all up I can more accurately judge that. Thanks for pointing that out!!
