Price , discount/rebate and location check
So I have seen that the price of the phone varies from zip to zip and the discounts and rebates do to. I think that is a bunch of ****. Also the online price at different sites vary too. I think that the FTC needs to look into this price gouging. One price and discount/rebate should for everywhere!! I'm in Chicago were there are no real rebates I thnk $50 and it looks like the the phone is 149 w/ 2yr contract/ What is any one else getting??

go to google, run search for "V551". Ad at the very top of the page is for wirefly.com, offering the V551 for free after rebate. click thru. good luck.

I think you missd the point. I know about those ads, but I wanted to see what Cingular was aoofer in different areas when you deal with them directly. Also when you order from there they activate your phone and I'm not sure if they port the number and if they do they charge you even if ur a att account but shouldn't since cingular bought them. I can't have my new phone in a box being shiped tome for 2 days.

Well the Cingular kiosk over at Pentagon City (near ... um ... the Pentagon =) has the 551 for $100 after rebate for a 2 year contract, $150 after rebate for a 1 year contract.
