V551 or V600

I'am in the middle of the Cingular & ATTWS trasitional period. I'am an employee & in need of a phone. Should I go with the V600 or the V551? I have heard of the handoff problems with the V600 on the 850 network. I have heard that this was the reason this phone was discontinued. Can anyone in an 850 majority network elaborate? Here are my uses with a phone:
Definitely need Bluetooth
Definitely a great speaker phone
Edge or GPRS no matter, I do not use the internet very often even if its free for me.
Camera - don't really matter.

I love the looks of the V600 but Iam concerned with the 850 mhz problems I keep hearing about.

I like the fact that the V551 has everything an more than the V600 but definitely hate the looks of the cheap bl...

I believe you should go with the V551, because it has video,bluetooth(as well), and it has more stuff that the V600 didnt have. Plus they stopped selling the V600 at Cingular because of issues with it.You could find it on ebay, unless they haven't stopped selling it where you live(V600). So I would go with the V551. Oh, and, nope, the faceplate isn't changeable

I agree with you on the unpleasant looks of the V551. I am almost certain that the Cingular discontinued the V600 because it had RF issues on the 850 network. If you need a new phone right now, I would go with the V551. It has all of the great features and can be purchased at a very low price with new activation. However, if you dislike the appearance of the V551 that much, then you can wait for the V620. The V620 is an all black version of the V600 with added video and a 262k VGA screen. The bugs with the 850 network have also been resolved in the V620. No one knows for certain, but people have been speculating that it will be available through Cingular in December or even as late as Valentines day 2005. If you don't mind paying the...
