Audiovox SMT 5600 / SPV C500 (HTC Typhoon)

I am, at present, suffering the same problem. From what I understand, it has everything to do with the fact that the phone does not apparently support Bluetooth Serial functionality. Modem, yes; serial port, no. And it is that serial port that ActiveSync needs to do it's thing. I am trying to find a way around this, but that is not likely to happen. I am also trying to get ahold of someone at Audiovox to see if they can shed some light on this for me, but this is a slow process to get someone who actuall knows anything beyond "You need to call your carrier".

Adding BT Serial Port support is a software thing, and not a hardware thing, so in theory if this is something that is missing but can be made available later, it's probably just a piece of software that you will need to install to make it work--or a ROM re-flash. Should not require a whole new phone.

Then again, there is actually nothing in print anywhere on the box or in the manual that clearly states that this phone can actually SYNC via bluetooth. There is just stubbed out functionality that I can see thus far. Will keep you informed as I learn anything.
