I just checked my shipping system and we will be getting at least two of these at our store this week. Not sure on the pricing yet.

And which store would that be? And just out of curiosity how is it that you can get them at your store and not know the price? How does that work?

I apologize, they won't be in for at least 2 more weeks. This and the Motorola MPx220 should be in around the same time. The one we got today was just a display model that we can't even activate yet. From what I have heard since my last post, this phone will be in the $200 neighborhood with a two year contract.

That sounds about right. I want to get a hold of one of these for testing so bad. The HP 6315 was such a disappointment, I am really hoping this phone does better.

Two weeks, huh? I've waited this long--another two won't kill me. $200 price point w/2-year plan committment is surprising. I'd expect it to be higher than that, but I'm not complaining.

Do you work for AT&T Wireless? Or an authorized dealer? A couple of guys posted to a thread on HowardForums that the phone was going to be released this week on the AT&T Wireless website; one guy even named tomorrow as the date. Obviously, this doesn't jive with your retraction, so I'm curious as to the reason.

Hi Joe,

I've received the same info. I've been told the phone will be released tomorrow. Unfortunately howardsforum keeps going down so I've been unable to see if there are any updates. Anyone else that confirm tomorrow is the date?

I can add a little tidbit to this conversation. Microsoft just today released their on-line training module for this phone. I took the test today (and passed it, obviously). So as far as MS is concerned, this is a coming-soon dealio. The module for the HP 6315 came out at most one week before the phone started appearing on shelves, so I have hope. Just wish they'd get it over with already! I need a new phone!

Yeah, but if you are an existing customer and you sign in to get your phone, they do not display that phone on the list of phones that are purchasable. Even if I click on the Buy This Phone Now button from the aforementioned page. Guess I'll have to call them and talk to them and then find out they STILL won't know what the phone is.

BTW, is anyone else getting a 404 header on that page or is it just me? If others are getting a 404 header, that may mean this page is not ready for primetime yet, which would indicate that they are not really selling the phone yet...we shall see.

You may not be able to see this phone because it requires a data plan. So it may not display for you if you don't have a data plan. See the thread that I started on why AT&T sucks in this regard.

I work at an AT&T Store in CT. With the past couple of phones released, they were placed on the website about 2 weeks before being available in retail. Don't know why they are doing it this way, but I checked my shipping system for the next week and we are not slated to get them yet. We did get a working demo model, but we can't place it on display until we have a full stock of them. It is a very strange way to do things if you ask me.
