Plan Expiration Change from AT&T->Cingular

Talked with three different reps today (see my last post) and asked specifically what was going to happen with my AT&T plan once it expires under Cingular. They all had the same thing to say.

Apparently, Cingular has decided that once an AT&T customer's plan expires, they can continue on that plan (without being under a new contract) until further notice. When asked what "further notice" constitutes, all they knew was that we'd hear something if/when that was going to change.

In the meanwhile, people who have AT&T plans and LIKE their plans can stay with Cingular without losing their plans once they expire. This is really good news. This and the $25/mo data are 100% keeping me with AT&T versus jumping to another carrier. The minute the...
