Can I swap another AT&T sim card (one without a data plan) into this phone and have it work?

Yes, this phone will work with ANY AT&T GSM SIM card. I have proven this myself already.

Cool, thanks - my plan of ordering without data on Amazon didn't work so I think I'm gonna get a plan/free phone from a local shop and swap the card.
