What version of MIDP?

Does this phone support MIDP 2.0?
Who provides support for the phone during the warranty period (AT&T?).

Nothing about MIDP of any version in the manual. Support is "technically" provided by AT&T, though you have a 90% chance of knowing more than AT&T does about this phone on any given call to their "Customer Care" support line. I am sure this will change over time.

MIDP is [M]obile [I]nformation [D]evice [P]rofile, which is one technology component of J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition). Java applications written for Java-enabled phones and similar small devices are commonly referred to as MIDlets (as opposed to the more popular term of APPlets, which are fully-fledged Java applications written for full web browsers like Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer, and others).

The documentation for the phone does not specifically designate a specific MIDP version number, but the docs do say that the phone supports J2ME. I would guess that by writing it this way, they are indicating that the phone supports the broader range of J2ME functionality and is not limited to just one or two (or a few) technology componen...
