Audiovox SMT 5600 / SPV C500 (HTC Typhoon)
Who manufactures the 5600 for Audiovox?
I didn't realize, until I read it on this site, that different manufactures make the various lines of Audiovox phones. Does anyone know who makes the 5600? Just curious.

I know that HTC (a Taiwanese cell phone manufacturer that specializes in MS Smartphone Implementation) is the engineer and designer of the phone. As to who's actual production line the phone rolls off of, that is not entirely clear. It could be that HTC still produces them and stamps Audiovox's name on it, could be that Audiovox produces their own version (with assistance and factory setup from HTC), or there could even be a third party involved.
