Personal ringtones

Anyone know if you can set personalized ringtones for your contacts with this phone? I just got mine today and I can't, for the life of me, find an option for it.

If not, is it a "feature" of this phone or of the Windows OS? If it's a Windows issue, does the SDK expose API's that would make it possible to configure this?

All and all, I am very happy with this phone, but the ringtone thing is a pretty significant issue (and I would be surprised if there wasn't some mechanism in place to allow for this level of customization).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Yes, just select Contacts, then select the contact you want by hitting the action button, then "Edit" then scroll down about 2/3 the way and you will see the option for Custom ring tone entry.

Good luck

This is indeed how you do it but I couldn't find a way to give give a contact group (category) its own ring tone. Is there a way to do that or you must do it contact by contact?

BTW - I disabled the Picture ID application by removing its .exe file from the startup folder. The phone boots faster and with more free memory. What I really need is different ring tones for groups of contacts. With this app. you can assign a unique image for a group but not a ring tone.

Oh good, it was blatantly obvious just to make me feel stupit.

Curse you, logical thinking and reasoning! 👿

Thanks 😁
